Hagafen Cellars Winery is Certified Green!
Congratulations to Ernie Weir, Aine Kelly and the Hagafen Cellars team for being proclaimed an official Napa Green Certified Winery.
Napa Green is the wine industry's most comprehensive, "best practices" program for land-use and wine production. This voluntary program is focused on independently certified, environmentally sound farming and production methods that meet and exceed more than twenty local, state and federal "best practices." Napa Valley vintners and growers develop farm-specific plans tailored to protect and enhance the ecological quality of the region, or create production facility programs that reduce energy and water use, waste and pollution. The Napa Green programs are open to all Napa County vintners and grape growers.
Napa County vintners participate in programs focused on winery operations and/or farming practices tailored specifically to each property to meet and exceed environmental compliance and continue to protect and enhance the ecological quality of the region.
We are fans of Hagafen's exceptional kosher wines, and now, in addition to producing their very special wines, we are delighted to hear that this Napa Valley California vineyard is certified earth-friendly. Hagafen Cellars has been a KosherEye sponsor since 2010. We raise our glasses to Hagafen!!
