|2009 Cabernet Franc|
We are so happy to be able to produce a Cabernet Franc on it’s own. All too often is this beautiful varietal only used in blending. The father of Cabernet Sauvignon should get it’s own bottle! (Yes, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc we hybrid together to create Cabernet Sauvignon about 800 years ago, give or take a hundred.)
The fleshy, supple nose of the exquisite wine wows you with violets, red currants and sun warmed Lincoln Rose. This flows to a mouth bursting with flavors of the deep forest glen: rich earth, deep dark black cherries and rose hips. The lush, round, velvety mouth is mixed with a tannic structure that is beginning to soften and will continue to do so for years to come.
